Antonio J. Ramírez-Aponte
Prior to rejoining McConnell Valdés, Mr. Ramírez acquired extensive experience in the Property and Casualty insurance field at the Philadelphia offices of General Accident Insurance Co., and American International Group.
Mr. Ramírez holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation from the American Institute of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, as well as Associate in Reinsurance (ARE) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations from the Insurance Institute of America.
He also worked as General Counsel for a consumer finance company with operations in Central America and the Caribbean, and as such acquired extensive experience in cross border transactions and regulatory issues.
Mr. Ramírez acquired valuable experience in the area of government affairs while serving as Deputy Director of the Economic Development and Tourism Department of the City of San Juan.
He is past President of the Puerto Rico CPCU Chapter and former board member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the same.
