Jorge M. Ruiz-Montilla
Mr. Ruiz-Montilla's practice includes corporate, advertising, real estate, sports and entertainment law. Over the years, Mr. Ruiz-Montilla has been involved in all aspects of the real estate and corporate practice including: resort development, structuring of corporate acquisitions, planning timeshare, condohotel and condominium projects, negotiating lease agreements for all types of commercial and residential developments, and the creation of governance structures for resort communities. Mr. Ruiz-Montilla also has extensive experience in real estate matters related to petroleum industry retail operations.
He is the legal counsel to the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Construction Materials Merchants Association.
Mr. Ruiz-Montilla had primary participation in several recent hotel and resort acquisition, development and financing transactions, including Paradisus Coco Beach Resort, Coco Beach Golf & Country Club, Costa Caribe Resort, Condado Vanderbilt & La Concha Hotels, La Concha Condohotel, W Vieques Resort, Vanderbilt Condohotels Project, and Dorado Beach Resort. Mr Ruiz-Montilla also worked in the recent financing of Caribbean Petroleum Corporation and the acquisition of Industrial Rubber & Mechanics, Inc. by Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation.
