Jose R. Nadal-Power 

Mr. Nadal-Power's main practice areas are government and legislative affairs, including government contracts law, where he contributes his experience in policy development at both the federal and state levels. Other areas of practice include general corporate matters, health care, food & drugs compliance, consumer affairs and distribution law.

From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Nadal-Power served as an Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Mayor of San Juan, Hon. Sila M. Calderon. From 2001 to 2004 he served as a Legislative Advisor in the Office of the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico at the United States Congress in Washington, D.C. In 2005, he was appointed as an Advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico, Hon Anibal Acevedo-Vila, on Public Policy and Municipal Affairs.

Mr. Nadal-Power's experience includes drafting key legislation related to hospitality and general business sectors, governmental regulatory matters, as well as advise on government contracts law, government ethics law, municipal law, and negotiating agreements and memorandums of understanding with the Government of Puerto Rico. In addition, Mr. Nadal-Power has drafted testimonies, amendments, and new language with regards to proposed legislation and regulations in policy areas such as consumer affairs and financial institutions. As part of his lobbying experience, Nadal-Power and the Government Affairs Practice Team have been very successful in persuading the Legislative and Executive Branches to pass, defeat, or veto legislation of concern to McV clients.

During law school, he was a member of the Law Review and president of the American Bar Association's UPR Law Student Division.
