Marķa C. Cartagena-Cancel 

Mrs. Cartagena areas of practice are general civil and commercial litigation, with particular focus on contractual disputes, foreclosures and collections and general tort litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as administrative litigation. She has significant experience in administrative forums before multiple agencies and on bids and procurement consulting and litigation before agencies representing companies bidding on government contracts for goods and services. Her experience in collection matters has also given her the opportunity to effectively assist one of the firm's clients in a massive collection project.

Mrs. Cartagena has assisted clients with various extraordinary remedies and provisional remedies to secure post-judgment. Mrs. Cartagena also has significant experience in complex civil forums. She is currently involved in the representation of a financial auditing company concerning a millionaire dispute for alleged malpractice and in the representation of a financial institution in a case concerning official's breach of fiduciary duties.

Before joining McConnell Valdés, Mrs. Cartagena worked as a senior Planning and Logistics manager at Intel Puerto Rico and Intel Corporation.
