Omar J. Marrero-Díaz 

Mr. Marrero-Díaz areas of practice encompass corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, banking, securities, real estate, commercial lending, mortgage law and general corporate matters.

Prior joining McConnell Valdés, Mr. Marrero-Díaz worked at the Office of the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of Citibank International Plc in Madrid, Spain. In addition, he also worked as an Associate Attorney for Quiñones & Sanchez, PSC, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the practice areas of corporate, securities, administrative and civil law. He also collaborated with the 2006 Puerto Rico Tax Reform Committee under the supervision of the then Assistant Secretary for Internal Revenue of the Puerto Rico Treasury Department, attorney Carlos E. Serrano.

Mr. Marrero-Díaz is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where he teaches Corporation Law.

Since joining McConnell Valdés, he has concentrated his transactional practice in the representation of both domestic and international clients on business related matters. Most notably, among its representative transactions are the sale of Bristol-Myers Squibb Manufacturing Company's facility at Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, the $342 million construction financing of the six-star Ritz Reserve at Dorado, Puerto Rico, and the merger of Univision Radio Puerto Rico's operations into Univision of Puerto Rico.
