Mr. Fortuño is a Counsel in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. He is also part of the Firm's Immigration Practice Area.

Practice Areas and Experience

After graduating from law school and completing a career as a high school teacher, he served as a Law Clerk for Honorable Miriam Naveira, Associate Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. He then moved to Washington, D.C., where he pursued a practice in business immigration, representing both employers and foreign nationals in work-related immigration petitions.

Representative Cases

Published opinion in David Colón v. Whitehall, U.S. District Court, regarding service of process in age discrimination cases. Has achieved multiple summary judgment victories in various state and federal employment law cases. Has a 100% approval rate regarding petitions before the Bureau of U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
