Eduardo A. Zayas-Marxuach is a Capital Member of the Litigation Practice Group. He is also part of the firm's Distribution and Franchising Practice Area.

Practice Areas and Experience

Mr. Zayas-Marxuach joined McConnell Valdés in November 2000, after serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable José A. Andréu García, then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, and to the Honorable Salvador E. Casellas of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

He has developed a general civil and commercial practice, at both the federal and state court levels, with emphasis on distribution and franchising, contractual disputes and trusts and estates, particularly estate litigation. Mr. Zayas-Marxuach also has experience in litigation involving health law matters.

Education

Mr. Zayas-Marxuach received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1997, where he was Editor in Chief of the School's Law Review. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, summa cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico.

Admissions

He is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
