Mr. Marrero-Caldero is an associate in the Environmental and Land Use Practice Group.
Practice Areas and Experience
Mr. Marrero-Caldero main practice areas are environmental, land-use, construction, and conventional/renewable energy. Mr. Marrero-Caldero is primarily involved in general permitting and air matters, hazardous materials, as well as environmental issues related with commercial/industrial real estate transactions. He also assists with compliance matters falling under various environmental and safety statutes.
Before joining McConnell Valdés in 2008, Mr. Marrero-Caldero worked as a student clerk with the Court of Appeals of Puerto Rico, under the guidance of Circuit Judge T. Gonzalez. He also worked in General Electric Industrial Systems, working on engineering, production, and research projects.
Education
Mr. Marrero-Caldero earned a Master of Laws in Environmental Law, cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 2008. He obtained his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Inter American University of P.R in 2007. He also earned a Mechanical Engineering degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus in 2003.
Admissions
Mr. Marrero-Caldero is admitted to practice the legal profession in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. He is also admitted by the Departments of State to practice Engineering in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

He is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association and the College of Engineers and Land Surveyors of Puerto Rico.
