Manuel Moreda-Toledo is a Capital Member in the Litigation Practice Group. He is the Chairman of the firm's Product Liability Practice Area.

Practice Areas

Mr. Moreda's practice includes commercial, torts, insurance, admiralty and his principal area of practice is products liability litigation with emphasis in drug cases. He is lead state coordinating counsel in the Vioxx Products Liability Litigation and was lead state coordinating counsel in the Baycol Products Liability Litigation cases.

He has over 30 years of litigation experience, including general product liability litigation in both federal and state court and has additional litigation experience in toxic torts related to agro-chemicals and consulting.

Education

He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration, Cum Laude in 1971 from the University of Puerto Rico, with major in Finance, and obtained his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude in 1975 from the University of Puerto Rico. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Admissions

Mr. Moreda is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Puerto Rico District.

Memberships

He is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Maritime Law Association.
