Maribel Roig joined McConnell Valdés as an Associate in January 2009. She is part of the firm's Litigation Practice Group.
Practice Areas and Experience
Ms. Roig's practice focuses primarily on civil and commercial litigation. Before joining McConnell Valdés, Ms. Roig practiced law in state and federal courts in Maryland.
Education
Ms. Roig is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was a leadership scholar and associate editor of the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy.
Prior to starting her legal career, Ms. Roig completed a Ph.D. at Harvard University and held a teaching position at Harvard's Program in History and Literature. Ms. Roig specialized in Latin American literature and critical theory, and has published and lectured extensively in those fields. Ms. Roig is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University and a former Fulbright Scholar.
