Nannette Berríos-Haddock is an Income Member in the Litigation Practice Group.
Practice Areas
Ms. Berríos-Haddock's areas of practice are general civil and commercial litigation, with particular focus on petroleum marketing, distribution and franchising, and antitrust law.
Education
She obtained a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, with a major from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and minors in Latin American Studies and Theater and Dance from Princeton University. The Woodrow Wilson School awarded her the Gale F. Johnston Prize in Public Affairs. She obtained her juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.

Ms. Berríos-Haddock is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Representative Matters
- Shell Co. (P.R.) Ltd. v. Los Frailes Service Station. Action for declaratory judgment and injunction stemming from termination under the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act and trademark infringement filed with the Federal District Court for Puerto Rico. Franchisee filed counterclaim seeking damages for alleged violations to the federal and local antitrust statutes, as well as breach of contract. Federal court entered a preliminary and permanent injunction requiring immediate surrender of service station. The multi-million antitrust claims were dismissed by summary judgment.
- Wilson Padilla v. Shell Co. (PR.) Ltd. Complaint for declaratory judgment and damages in the millions presented by franchisee for alleged false representations, breach of contract, and price discrimination. Successfully procured dismissal of all claims against individual co-defendants in the Federal District Court for Puerto Rico. Also obtained favorable arbitration award granting possession of the service station to our client and successful judicial enforcement thereof.
