Luis E. Bacó, former Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Resident Commissioner Luis G. Fortuño, joined the Firm as Counsel, Corporate Practice Group. From 1999 to 2005 he was Counsel in the legislative and Government Relations Practice Group of the McDermott, Will and Emery law firm. He served as Deputy Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration from 1997 to 1999 and as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to Resident Commissioner Carlos Romero Barceló between 1993 and 1997.
Mr. Bacó will co-chair the Firm's Government Affairs Practice Area, and will focus his practice on regulatory and legislative law, strategic planning and government affairs. He will be based in Washington, D.C., at 601 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Suite 900, South Building.
