Puerto Rico Bar Association presents Special Recognition Award to McConnell Valdés' Pro Bono Program



On September 6, 2007, the McConnell Valdés Pro Bono Program received the Puerto Rico Bar Association President's Special Recognition Award in recognition for collaborating with the Puerto Rico Bar Association and rendering pro bono legal services to a Puerto Rican single mother facing extradition to the State of Texas arising out of criminal charges for custodial interference. The award was presented by Celina Romany, President of the Association at a special ceremony celebrated during the Association's recent Convention.
