We recruit associates who, in our view, are capable of becoming partners of the firm.

We have no predetermined hiring targets. We make recruitment decisions based on the particular merits and achievements of each applicant and on the specific needs of the firm. Although our preference is to hire attorneys who have participated in our summer program, we welcome outstanding attorneys, including judicial law clerks, who have not worked with us as summer associates.

All recruiting decisions for permanent and summer associate positions and law clerk and paralegal internships are made by the Recruiting Committee. The members of the committee are Jorge M. Ruiz-Montilla (Partner, Corporate Practice Group), Henry O. Freese (Partner, Litigation Practice Group) and Iraida Diez (Associate, Labor & Employment Practice Group). Mr. Ruiz-Montilla is the chairperson of the committee.
