McConnell Valdés served as Puerto Rico counsel to Oriental Bank and Trust, San Juan, Puerto Rico, in its acquisition of all of the retail deposits and substantially all of the assets and operations of Eurobank from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as receiver of Eurobank. The acquisition was consummated on April 30, 2010.
