We are proud of our social and cultural contributions to Puerto Rico. The McV logo stands for involvement with worthy causes that improve the quality of life within our society through education, charitable endeavors, community action initiatives and cultural expressions.
We maintain an active role guiding the valuable and necessary work of various private charitable and social service organizations, such as the member-institutions of Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico/United Way, Red Cross and several other non-profit institutions serving the Puerto Rican community.
We give particular attention to programs that respond to the requirements of young people, who need a helping hand to overcome hardships or realize their full potential through education. Among other community endeavors McConnell Valdés is actively involved with the American Cancer Society's Comité Niños que Quieren Sonreír, Make-a- Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, and San Jorge Children's Hospital.
In addition, we support the artistic expressions that define our culture through contributions to organizations such as San Juan Cinemafest, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Museo de Arte de Ponce (Ponce Museum of Art) Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico Museum of Art). Another example of our community is our sponsorship of the 21st Central American and Caribbean Games to be held in Mayaguez and other towns in the western part of Puerto Rico during the Summer of 2010 by serving as outside counsel to its organizing committee.
McConnell Valdés views our efforts as part of our commitment to the advancement society. We encourage our attorneys and employees to engage in volunteer work with community organizations. We take pride in knowing that our reward, the reward for the entire community, will be a better future.
