His main areas of practice are corporate law, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulations, commercial financing, mortgage law and general corporate, finance and real estate matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Monges served as a Student Judicial Law Clerk to Hon. Edgardo Rivera-García, Associate Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. While in law school, he served as Associate Editor and member of the Board of Directors of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico Law Review. He authored a law review article: Government Corruption: Urgency of New Mechanisms for Asset Recovery, 56 Rev. D.P. 125 (2016).
In 2016, Mr. Monges took courses in contractual and European private law at the Universität Salzburg, School of Law (Salzburg, Austria). The exposure to the main features of the European Legal system helped him enhance his contractual comparative law skills and obtain an international perspective within today's increasingly globalized economy.
