Her main area of practice is general civil litigation.
While in law school Ms. Valle-Cancel took a course in trial advocacy at Oxford University in England. This exposure to different legal systems nourished her passion for civil litigation, leading her to work as Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure Professor Carlos Concepción-Castro for one year and as Semester Intern to the Hon. Judge Brian K. Tester at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Ms. Valle-Cancel also worked as a litigation law clerk at McConnell Valdés in 2015.
As a member of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico Law Review Journal in 2015 she wrote an article about Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code titled "The Absolute Priority Rule: A Narrow View" .
