A group of representatives from Puerto Rico’s private and public sectors met last week with Spanish businesses to present Puerto Rico as an investment opportunity.
The group, comprised by Francisco J. Pavía, Capital Member at McConnell Valdés; Antonio J. Colorado, advisor to the Secretary of Economic Development of Puerto Rico; Johnny Fernandes of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico; José E. Medina of Popular Securities and Juan Luis Carril,
Secretary General of Spain’s Chamber of Commerce in Puerto Rico, met with various industrial and business associations, and owners and representatives of Spanish businesses, presenting the Island’s various tax incentives, and showcasing Puerto Rico as a gateway to the United States and Latin America . The group visited some of Spain’s most important business hubs, such as Madrid, Barcelona and Santiago de Compostela.
