Biography
His practice focuses on real estate, hospitality, and a broad range of transactional matters, including corporate, international, and cross‑border work, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to rejoining McV, he served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cinemark Holdings, Inc., a public company headquartered in Plano, Texas and one of the world’s leading theatrical exhibition chains, with roughly 500 theaters and more than 5,500 screens across 42 U.S. states and 13 countries in South and Central America.
In his role as AGC, he spearheaded multiple complex international mergers and acquisition transactions, including the $70 million dollar stock purchase of Hoyts General Cinema de Argentina, S.A., the $80 million dollar stock sale of Cinemark Holdings Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. and the $20 million dollar stock sale of Cinemark del Ecuador, S.A. He also oversaw all legal matters related to corporate governance, commercial leases, trademarks, and litigation strategy.
As a member of Cinemark’s Executive Team, he provided critical counsel that helped shape the company’s international growth and strengthen its global compliance efforts, leaving a lasting impact on the organization.
He began his career at McConnell Valdés, where he served as an Associate and later as an Income Partner in the Corporate Practice Group. His work there spanned real estate, corporate and financing transactions, project development and finance, commercial lending and structured finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
