Attorney Recruitment

Our goal is to find unique individuals who share the firm's philosophy to join our team.

As a McConnell Valdés attorney, you will build on a tradition of professional excellence and leadership in the legal profession in Puerto Rico.

We are widely known for the complexity of the legal issues we handle, the high caliber of our work, and the great personal and professional qualities of our attorneys. It is no surprise then, that hiring and retaining bright, dedicated individuals is a top priority. We are highly selective, and the talents and demeanor of all who work here prove it.

We regularly recruit Associates and fully support their career development, with the intent that they will stay with us to eventually become members of the firm. 

We are also open to hiring lawyers on a lateral basis. In considering lateral additions, we aim to serve both the candidate and our firm over the long term. We have found that the most successful lateral hires are often candidates with whom we are professionally acquainted.

Requirements

Candidates must comply with the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico
  • Fully bilingual with excellent writing skills in English and Spanish
