McConnell Valdés launched a Tax Litigation Practice Team, setting the Firm apart from other law firm tax groups in Puerto Rico. The group deals with disputes before Puerto Rico and municipal tax authorities and courts, where the Firm’s top-notch litigation skills are combined with its substantive and up-to-date experience in all tax areas, including income tax, sales and use tax, real and personal property tax, municipal license, and municipal construction excise tax. The continuously changing tax landscape and active enforcement by tax authorities moved the Firm to launch this new practice team.
The group, led by Juan A. Marqués-Díaz and Rubén Muñiz, is comprised of ten tax and litigation attorneys, including Isis Carballo-Irigoyen, Yamary González, Rubén Muñiz, Edwin O. Figueroa, Britt Arrieta and Rafael Fernández-Suàrez.
