Legislative Developments in the Insurance Industry presented to the CPCU Society/Puerto Rico Chapter

Last week McV's Antonio J. Ramírez-Aponte and Sila M. González-Calderón delivered a presentation titled Legislative Developments in the Insurance Industry in Puerto Rico at the annual luncheon and meeting of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the CPCU Society.

Mr. Ramírez-Aponte and Ms. González-Calderón provided a comprehensive overview of the legislative measures considered by the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly during the 2021-2024 term that impact the property and casualty insurance industry in Puerto Rico. They also spoke on the law making process, generally, and provided their outlook on what may be expected for the remainder of the legislative term.

The CPCU Society is a non-profit organization which promotes knowledge and leadership opportunities for the global community of risk and insurance professionals. Its membership is composed of professionals who hold, or are pursuing, the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters.
