Leany Prieto´s area of practice is general litigation.
Prior to joining McConnell Valdés Leany worked as a litigation attorney at a San Juan law firm where she represented clients in workers compensation cases before the State Insurance Fund Corporation, the Industrial Commission, and the Social Security Administration. Her professional experience also includes serving as legal advisor in the Office for the Regulation and Certification of Health Professionals within the Puerto Rico Department of Health where she assisted the 29 Professional Boards overseen by the Office.
She has honed her skills as a trial attorney by her experience with Inter American University’s Center for the Support of Crime Victims (C.A.V.I.C.) where she represented victims on a myriad of issues ranging from restraining orders, custody and alimony hearings to other family law related matters.
Upon graduating from Law School, she received the International Law Award for excelling in that particular field.
