McV attorneys Miguel Rivera-Arce, Ana María Cordero, and Diego R. Puello-Álvarez will offer a series of talks on legal topics relevant to nonprofit organizations that recently received grants from the Fundación Angel Ramos.
The topics include applicable labor laws and regulations for nonprofit organizations, concerning employees and volunteers, and corporate governance guidance for nonprofit board members and officers.
In addition, the participating nonprofit organizations may request legal assistance from the McConnell Valdés Pro Bono Program to address issues related to corporate, labor, and tax exemption matters.
The talks and the legal assistance provided by our attorneys are part of the ongoing collaboration among the McConnell Valdés Pro Bono Program, Fundación Angel Ramos, and Asesores Financieros Comunitarios to promote capacity building in Puerto Rico’s nonprofit sector.
