Ricardo J García-Negrón participated as panelist in one of the reaction panels during Grupo Guayacan’s 20th Anniversary Conference. Mr. García-Negrón talked about Private Equity Funds’ Act 185, its tax advantages, and securities regulation related to the creation of such funds, after Professor Yael Hochberg’s speech on “The Importance of Risk Capital in Building a Sustainable Entrepreneurial Ecosystems”. Professor Hochberg, Academic Director for Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship at Rice University, discussed successful and unsuccessful efforts to create a risk capital industry and the role different sectors play in the ecosystem.
